We had some left-over chicken liver in the fridge and since we’re not very huge fans of the taste of pure chicken liver, it’s a good alternative to make pâté of it. Especially since you then can add a lot of tasteful flavoring.
When you search for liver pâté recipes you’ll mostly find very complicated ones with lots of ingredients that you normally don’t have in your kitchen. But here follows a easy paleo variant!
Paleo chicken liver pâté
- Chicken livers, organic!
- A dash of apple cider vinegar
- Bay leaves
- Mustard powder
- Salt & pepper
- A chunk of butter
- Bone broth
Gentle fry the livers in a frying pan and add the chopped garlic. When it’s well cooked, add all the seasoning and the apple cider vinegar. Let it reduce and than place it in a mixer with the “S-blade” together with the bone broth and chunks of the butter. Pulse the mixer until its smooth.
Serve it with some vegetable sticks and a good red wine.
